This is the first installment of the ‘Dalaga’ng Bukid’ shoot I did last Saturday. Dalaga’ng bukid - is a combination of the Filipino words Dalaga — which means young lady/virgin/teenager and Bukid —- mountain. If you combine the two words, you’ll get the concept of the whole shoot which was young lady from the farmlands.
The shoot took place at a beautiful and peaceful tillage at the district of Bonbon, Cebu. It would probably take you an hour to get there, but definitely worth the wait. It was my first time at the area and I was blown away by the serenity and the peacefulness. Indeed a perfect place to getaway from the industrious and clamorous world. We were so fortunate to stay and visit a beautiful farm house owned by the photographer’s close friends. A big thank you to the Lava’s for being so hospitable to us.
Since the farm house was so cozy and the weather wasn’t as hot, it made me wanna relax and sleep… But no, we were there to shoot and work had to be done. The stylist and visual director, Nicky Roa, had prepared three outfits for Krizia and I. All of them were so chic and clean. The photographer, Christine Cueto, was so professional and had prepared alot of nice places to shoot. We were so confused where to start. The assistant, Marge Lim, was so nice to us and also took amazing shots — which will also be uploaded soon. I guess I said enough, so I’ll just leave you with these photos. Hope you guys like it!
